My style is not for everyone... I love capturing everyday images. Most of my photography is very natural. I'm not big on posing... I like to capture my subject's personality not a forced smile! The style is often called "lifestyle" photography and has a very photojournalistic feel.

enjoyed looking at these shots very much. Your composition is classic and I love your crisp focal points and shallow depth of field in the close-ups. The locations you shoot at are interesting and I find the photos, where a rugged textured, almost "distressed" environment was used, helps communicate more about your subject without becoming distracting. Some photos seem to have a "cross-processing" feel, where the colors are slightly off, I like this effect, you don't see it too much anymore. Your ability, composition creativity, and lighting is very good. The only thing I would suggest, if you want to set yourself apart in this lifestyle photo-journalistic style and broaden your portfolio, is photographing people who are not physically gifted (cute or pretty), and find the beauty in the average and bizarre (no babies please). Check out the work of Diane Arbus for starters. Although, it doesn't have to be that extreme. It will give your work more credibility and challange you with substance rather than subject. A few questions. What kind of light are you using indoors? Are you using a studio? What kind of lens/camera do you use? You also seem to know your way around Photoshop! Try incorporating more grain and soft focus effects. Overall, Very, Very, Good. Your work borders on the professional. I gotta get out there and shoot more.
